Photos from Miltons 57th Annual Steam Era Show If it was steam powered, it was there - Written by capnasty
Over the Labour Day weekend, the Ontario Steam & Antique Preservers Association held its 57th annual steam era show at the beautiful Country Heritage Park, featuring powerful steam tractors (some sporting a whopping 25 HP) from the late 19th century to beginning 20th century, garden railways, lawn equipment, strange sputtering motors, tractors pulls and threshing competitions. While I can't claim to know who has won or know much about steam tractors, the entire event was a moving postcard of yesteryear complete with smoke, puffs, chugs, and steam whistles.
The Ontario Steam & Antique Preservers Association (OSAPA) aims to advance the knowledge, appreciation & interest in rural antiques & our agricultural heritage. This is accomplished through the preservation, restoration & renovation of articles, vehicles, machinery & power equipment of antiquity.
Steam-Era is the annual Labour Day Weekend exhibition presented by the Ontario Steam & Antique Preservers Association. For the public's education & enjoyment, our members exhibit & demonstrate their collections of equipment, models, cars & trucks, along with crafts, entertainment, vendors & other displays pertaining to our rural agricultural heritage.
