Although sadly only available in Japan, I love the look of these LEGO-like bricks currently on sale on the iichi website.

Japanese designers at Mokurukku have created a set of beautiful “knock-off” LEGO bricks that are made from maple and birch.

Carefully crafted to be stackable with regular plastic LEGO bricks, they can be incorporated into any of your LEGO projects for an interesting wood-meets-plastic look.
