If you've read or watched the Harry Potter series, you will be familiar with their magical moving photographs: characters in the images moved ever so slightly giving a sense of life but never really deviating from their original pose.

The animated Gifs showcased on If we don't, remember me follow that very same recipe: they're subtle, cleverly put together and add just enough movement needed in a static image to give life. Excellent choice of imagery as well.
