Alternative Fuels: A Coke and Mentos Powered Car

When Coke and Mentos breath mints are mixed together, Coke will bubble and shoot up in the air: that's nothing new to all of us; however, these guys claim that they've harnessed that power to run the Rocket car. The vehicle, created by Fritz Grobe and Stephen Voltz of Buckfield, features a utility trailer at the rear and a modified bike at the front. The power from the chemical reaction has been harnessed, and very well harnessed, to roll the Rocket Car out of a hangar to a distance mark of 221 feet.
