Kano: a Computer Anyone Can Make

Update: here's the official Kickstarter page.

Sporting a monkey beating the crap out of an iBook computer -- probably to imply how Apple doesn't really want you to go past its walled garden, software or hardware -- this teaser page for the Kano kit calls itself the first computer anyone can build. I signed up for the official announcement.

Kano is the first computer that anyone can make.

It’s the best way for anyone — any age, anywhere — to build a computer, make music, hack games, and start coding.

It’s also really fun, and just $99.
