Genitals: It's What's For Dinner

Next time I'm in an Asian restaurant, after reading this piece, I'll think twice before ordering the chicken balls. Reportedly, Tokyo-based illustrator Mao Sugiyama, who underwent a sex-change surgery, cooked up his genitals for anyone willing to pay the $250 for a taste. The photos are gruesome, but if you have the balls (ideally uncooked and still attached) to read it, click here. Not sure if the meal was served with some Chianti and a side of fava beans, but I'm going to skip lunch.

On Sunday, April 13, Tokyo illustrator Mao Sugiyama (who goes by the nickname "HC"), publicly seasoned and braised his own genitals on a portable gas cartridge burner, and then served them to six eager diners who each paid about $250 for the meal. The genitals had been returned to Sugiyama, frozen and double-bagged in plastic, following sex-change surgery on his 22nd birthday in early April during which they were removed.
