The Flatpack Chair

Here's an interesting product design by Celeste Glavin: a chair designed to fit onto a third sheet of OSB (oriented strand board), be structurally sound, have a maximum thickness of one inch and be able to lay completely flat for packaging. It's a little ugly, so I guess we won't be seeing this at Ikea any time soon, but the low shipment space it takes may mean a lower carbon footprint.
