Artists and Dictators Live In a Closed Loop of Self-Delusion (via @kottke)

Artist Phillip Toledano has come to the conclusion that there is very little difference between artists and dictators: both live in a state of self-delusion and narcissism, often unaware of the real world they live in. Because of this, he decided to recreate famous paintings and sculptures of various dictators, except that he replaced the "great leaders" with himself.
