Half-way through watching the Coen Brother's film True Grit, Mark Kite, writer and author of the Pray a Lie blog, glanced at his daughter scrunched down in her seat, and wondered: would she avenge his murder with the same single-mindedness of purpose and righteous bravery exhibited by Mattie, played brilliantly by Hailee Steinfeld?

He certainly hopes not.
