Celebrity Advertising Doesn't Work

Ace Metrix, a company that provides traditional copy testing, tracking studies and trending analysis of advertising, have released a white paper titled Celebrity Advertisements: Exposing A Myth Of Advertising Effectiveness.

Reportedly, unlike what was originally believed, the study discovered that celebrity advertising does not perform better than non-celebrity ads. In fact, in some cases, they perform much worse, with only a few ever earning performance marks above their industry averages.
