And while everyone can appreciate a good deal on products that we need, the fact that tens of thousands of people literally spent days camping outside of stores to save $100 on a TV or $50 for a video game system is a starkly frightening reminder that our entire economic and social system is driven by nothing but consumerism and delusions of grandeur.
