How You Sit May Affect How You Vote

There is such a thing as posture and political psychology. Within governments where politics are discussed and laws are made, conservative members sit to the right and liberals sit to the left: this arrangement has become a metaphor for political views, with liberals being considered on the left of the political spectrum and conservatives being on the right.

But if a study by Daniel Oppenheimer and Thomas Trail of Princeton University is right, it suggests that it is more than a metaphor: leaning left physically may cause an individual to lean that way mentally, too.
