Film Industry Hires Cyber Hitmen To Take Down Internet Pirates

The film industry is using pirate tactics to beat the pirates by launching cyber attacks on sites hosting pirated movies that don't respond to copyright infringement notices. To circumvent the legality of this, the Sydney Morning Herald reports that an off-shore Indian company is used to perform the distributed-denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks. Fortunately, the illegal tactics are not endorsed by everyone in the film industry.
