Apple's Patent for the iBike

The inhabitat blog reports on a patent filed by Apple over a smart bicycle. Reportedly, the not-yet-named vehicle (inhabitat proposes iCycle) would allow cyclists to "link up with one another, share pertinent course data, individual health stats and much, much more".

While the iPod line of products have spurred up health-related activities, this new bike is a welcome addition; sadly -- and not all that surprisingly -- the iBike would only work with Apple-approved products.
