Chris Gould, of dvdactive.com, has taken on the mammoth task of looking at the changes to the Star Wars trilogy, from 1977 to 2004, beginning with the original Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope.

To illustrate the various alterations, Chris has used screen shots from the original, Special Edition and DVD releases of the films, in that order. He will start by looking at alterations to existing scenes, followed by shots of scenes not included in the original theatrical release. There will also be a short section devoted to some of the audio changes at the end of the article.

Click here for the first in a series of three articles devoted to these seminal films.
