Google Drops Wave After Lack of Interest

Thu, Aug 5th, 2010 00:26 by capnasty NEWS reports on a Google announcement, which indicated it would drop Google Wave. The over year-old service had "not seen the user adoption [Google] would have liked" and won't be developed further. The search firm plans to keep supporting Wave through at least the end of the year and, as it's open-source, says both the technology and the data will be made exportable to other services.
