Turkey Blocks Google

The Telecommunication and communication Ministry (TIB), a government body that can control Internet accessibility in Turkey is attempting to block certain IP addresses that belong to Google due to "legal reason". Meanwhile, YouTube has been already banned after several complaints by users about the presence of videos insulting Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of modern Turkey. The videos are considered an offence in the country. Turkish social media users are already reflecting the ban with posts such as these. (via senemzen)
