Before there was a World Wide Web, there was the Internet Gopher. As the Internet became more graphic intensive, Gopher became less and less relevant. This inspired John Goerzen, author of the ChangeLog Blog, to write GopherBot and in 2007, he downloaded and saved all the documents and sites his bot could find. Most of these servers have now disappeared, but you can download the torrent file and have a comprehensive archive archive there is of what Gopherspace was like.
