Goodbye Floppy Disk and Thank You for All The Files

After nearly 30 years, Sony, the company that virtually launched the 3.5-inch floppy disk, has announced it will end their sale and will completely abandon it by 2011. The floppy, which was first introduced in 1981, and hit the height of its sales in 2000, will soon go the way of the cassette tape. Mashable has put together a small gallery to remember the dearly departed.
