Physician and epidemiologist Tom Jefferson, MD, who has made it his mission to conduct extensive reviews of all studies of seasonal influenza vaccines, states that there is no problem with the H1N1 virus, which is no different from any other seasonal virus. "In fact," he states, "it looks--from the Australian experience--like it's going to be milder and it can be handled with public health measures, such as hand washing, masks."
