Burning Monk Shot by Chinese Police

A Tibetan monk was shot by Chinese police after he had shouted slogans and waved a Tibetan flag, drenched himself in gasoline and then set himself on fire. The incident occurred in the town of Aba, Sichuan province, during a gathering of over a thousand monks. The monks are celebrating the third day of the Tibetan new year despite Chinese officials banning the assembly.
