According to Short Bus Magazine, a postcard is nothing more than a beautiful lie.

"How often have you heard someone receive a postcard and exclaim, 'It's so beautiful. I have to go there.' Much like a restaurant menu photograph, the postcard is built upon deceit, showing it's very best side and hiding the giant zit that you'll no doubt discover on your own if you gullibly fall for its allure."
