Motherboard brings to attention the TracFone LG Prepaid Lucky LG1, a smartphone that has "better specs than the original iPhone". I sure would hope so, considering that the original iPhone came out in January 2007. If anything, this means that making a smartphone is so ridiculously cheap now that anyone can afford one.

For less than $10 (plus the cost of data access) the user gets access to the Google Play app store, giving him or her the power to summon transportation at the push of a button, instantly connect with friends, and watch livestreams from all over the world. A bona fide smartphone, in other words.
