To show what a safe abortion looks like, empower and educate women, and to put in contrast the imagery that religious and pro-life groups use, a woman took secret cellphone photos of her abortion and posted them on her site, ThisIsMyAbortion.com.
As she explains in her article in The Guardian:
The protesters in turn had moved across the street, but otherwise remained the same. Viewing, again, the horrific graphic images they displayed, I wasn't sure if I was more afraid of being harmed by the anti-abortion protesters or if I was more anxious about the procedure itself.
But once past the bulletproof doors to the clinic, I entered a sanctuary.
Counselled, educated and physically readied, I let go of my anxieties in this safe space. The procedure itself, albeit uncomfortable, was straightforward and passed with ease. After all was done, with minor cramping, I took myself home where I slept off the remains of the day.
Thinking of my mother and her harrowing journey, I knew I was incredibly privileged to have had my body handled by medical experts, and my psyche held by empathetic professionals.

And I find their rhetoric (pro-life & religious) annoying at best.
However, having seen the couple of pixels of a beating heart from the little jelly bean that was my daughter in an ultrasound, an abortion is the last thing on my mind.
It's a tough choice to make. It's a choice I wouldn't make, but I still think the choice should be there. Nothing worse than a kid being raised by parents (or a mother) that doesn't want them.
Americans have the right to life, right? You are taking away that babies right of at least trying to have a good life. If you can't take care of it, take it to an adoption center, at least. Let the human being attempt to make something of them self.
