In this amusig TED Talks video, palaeontologist Jack Horner talks about his childhood obsession with making himself a pet dinosaur.
Besides shattering some of the myths believed about dinosaurs put forth by Jurassic Park, Horner explains that if you "actually had a piece of amber with a blood sucking insect in it, and you drilled into it and you got something out of that insect and you cloned it over and over and over again... you'd have a room full of mosquitoes. And probably a whole bunch of trees."
Horner explains an alternative he's been working on, and it involves reverse-engineering the modern dinosaur: the chicken.
