"Sadly," says Bradley M. Kuhn, Board Member of the Free Software Foundation, "a for-profit, corporate-controlled distribution can never remain community-oriented. A for-profit company is eventually always going to put the acquisition of wealth above any community principle."

This is, he notes, what has happened with Ubuntu and he believes the time has come to go back to a truly community-oriented, software-freedom-respecting distribution.
